Participants had to recognize a short melody repeated later in eachpiece.The melodic piece from Mozart was equally well recognized across all ages and musicalbackgrounds, with no loss of recognition as age increased. All participants were less confidentin recognizing the theme in the new melodic piece,and even less confident with the unfamiliarand unusual piece,but this didn't change with age either.
